JEP of Westchester:

Where thinking Jews explore their heritage

The Jewish Education Program (JEP) of Westchester serves as a dynamic resource for Jews who wish to gain a more profound understanding of their heritage. JEP is an independent, innovative and welcoming medium for Jewish learning and exploration. JEP offers an array of programs designed to satisfy the curiosity of those seeking both answers and insight. Jews of diverse ages and backgrounds are drawn by JEP's warmth and concern for the needs of each individual. We invite those who wish to explore their Jewish heritage to join us at an upcoming event.

Rabbi Baruch Zaitschek

Founding Director

After earning a B.A. in psychology, Rabbi Zaitschek spent thirteen years in post-graduate work at the Rabbinical Seminary of America where he received his advanced rabbinic ordination. He went on to specialize in two areas - working with teens and assisting adults interested in exploring their Jewish heritage. Rabbi Zaitschek has launched outreach programs in several communities in both Queens, N.Y. and on Long Island. In 1989, he founded JEP of Westchester which serves as a resource for individuals who wish to strengthen their inner-sense of Jewish identity and their knowledge of what it means to be a Jew. Rabbi Zaitschek emphasizes pursuing intellectual clarity, while building a personal rapport with today's inquisitive Jew.
